Since I posted my measurements last (my first blog) I have lost about an inch on each body part. Where I did not lose inches, I did lose fat, because I can see more definition. I will be cutting out any and all cheat nights 8 weeks prior to the show and my training will become more intense.

updates!

Hello!!!

Things have been going swimmingly and I am starting to see some progress. Jackie has changed my workout routine, and will be changing it again pretty soon. As it gets closer to competition I will have to start cutting out majority of fatty foods and carbs. But for now, I am still doing the Carb Nite Solution (30g of carbs or less, with a cheat night once every 6 days). I have not lost much weight, but I can see I am getting leaner. I'll have to post and update picture.

I've lost fat everywhere on my body, but I think you can see it most in my abs. I still have fat to lose, Jackie says I will be able to do it in the next 12 weeks. I have to be honest, I'm a little scared.

My cardio has been increased to 2-3 days of hiit (high intensity interval training= sprints, tabata, etc) no more than 15 min, and 3-4 days of walking on treadmill on 12 incline 3.1 speed or light jogging on a 14 incline 7 resistance no more than 40 min. so I will be doing cardio no less than 6 days a week.

My knee has started bothering me this is a new concept. Signs of aging... better not be. I started a regular regimen of monavie and fish oil to counteract the knee problem. It is a little irritating because monavie takes up 16g of my daily carbs... so I have to be more aware during the day of my carb intake... as if I wasn't obsessing over that already.

Oh well, I want my Pro Card.

Jackie took Julie and I (another competitor and new friend) to our swimsuit fitting on Monday the 13th. Julie got a teal color, Jackie got a shiny green, and I got a shiny fuchsia with iridescent purple. I've never had a swimsuit (or anything for that matter) made just for me, it was pretty exciting and I can't wait to see it!

My meals for the last week have been looking like this:

coffee, sometimes with heavy whipping cream sometimes just black, monavie (2 oz. = 8 carbs), fish oil pills
2 eggs over easy, 1/2 cup of cottage cheese (4 carbs) or 2 strips of bacon instead
either chicken breast or chicken sausage (1 carb) with 1/2 cup cottage cheese if I didnt eat it for breakfast
usually more coffee
Chicken sausage if I did n't eat it for lunch, chicken instead if I did, monavie (8 carbs), 2 fish oil pills

basically I've been having chicken, chicken sausage, bacon, cottage cheese, coffee. I need to incorporate more greens but een vegatables have carbs and I udually don't have time to emasure out my lettuce amounts so eating them and not knowing how much carbs there are kinda freaks me out. and I'm not talking fibrous carbs.

Last night I  had a steak with parmesan cheese on it... that was like God jumped in my mouth...

The fact that the show is May 12th helps, having it closer makes the commitment part easier, but I need to do better.

To keep things fun, I've started working on nicknames for our "club" (me, jackie, and julie) I think it was decided Iron Vixens ... Julie said it made her blush and laugh... but that is typical for her...lol. We will probably put it on robes or tank tops or something.

Well, I will have to send picture updates sooon. So stay tuned, I'll try to start updating this every Wednesday for a little more consistency.
